Valuescale Composition (Scanned&Edited)

First photo is the original, third photo is inverted (negative filter). I ended up moving one of the circles on the left edge because it was cut off in my scan so apologies if there's a difference (third photo is my piece photographed without any editing other than cropping)

  1. The circle cut outs are impeccable. You created a very interesting compositions by overalaying the circles. It creates an illusion of glare that really captures the viewer.

  2. It might be the scanner, but I wish I could see better those little circles that seem to be cut off. I know in person is gonna look different, but maybe reduce the brightness when you post it online. Overall, I think you have great craftsmanship, as well as an interesting composition.

  3. Awesome craftsmanship! I really enjoy the dynamic nature of your composition, and that you chose to include the negative for the original. They create and stark and interesting contrast in comparison to each other.

  4. I like the inverse you created and I also like the organic shape it makes. I noticed there are some circles that are not to visible maybe you should have a lighter scale than the ground. Craftsmanship looks pretty good.

  5. LOVE. (not good feedback I know)

Okay, I think your whole idea was really well thought out, and the craftsmanship of cutting out tedious circles of different sizes (A+++++++++ for you!!!!!)

I really do appreciate, though, how the circles are intentionally placed in a radial composition (giving the whole a unified spiral, within circles, within circles).
Great job. Seriously. I love it too much (not helpful again)

I think if you wanted to, you could have used the black canson paper instead of the white paper to do what you really wanted (the inverted). But of course the white paper is nice too. Both are nice. <3

  7. Great craftsmanship! I like how you decided to include the inverse of the original piece which I think is much more successful because it has a lot more contrast. I think it was an great decision to overlap the circles at the center which become the focal point of the whole piece.
